I once had a friend (well I thought so) who said to me, "you should stop looking at life through rose colored glasses", I was surprised that she said that but haven't changed. I will let the dogs out when it is minus 20 degrees and look up at the beautiful clear sky and admire the stars. I always look on the bright side of things because it just feels good. So (as you guessed) we are no longer friends and that's okay as I was happy to have her in my life for the time being as I think we all understand that. So please do look at life through rose colored glasses and please do stop and smell the roses or the leaf falling from the tree n the fall and even that beautiful butterfly that just happened to land on the flower in front of you while you are pulling the never ending weeds in the garden.
My first dog that I had up in Red Lake Ontario was a lovely boy named "Raisin". When I brought him home in my ski-doo suit he looked just like a raisin. All curly black hair and with eyes and squishy. You know what I mean...:) Raisin was part Bouvier des Flandres and part Husky. He was about 8 weeks old. Really a great dog. Well in the fall I decided to bring some cattails home and put them in a container in the corner of the living room. Raisin thought they were toys and when I came home from work there were cattails seed pods floating everywhere. What a mess! You know even though at the time I was 19 years old I still found great laughter and joy in trying to vacuum up those seed pods and watch Raisin chasing them around because the vacuum cleaner was blowing them around the living room. What a great memory. See....always look at life through rose colored glasses. Makes things wonderful and fun. Please do the same and enjoy it. They are only moments in time.
